okay so I got a bit of minor baww over something I wrote, and... I'm of two minds about it. On the one, I don't want to discourage concrit since I'm glad more than like... 2 people are reading all this, lol

on the other hand, if anyone's expecting Blackbird's Gale to be "love at first sight" stuff, then they are going to be disappointed because this is not that kind of story. At all. Which is what the aforementioned complaint was about.

Sadly, there's not much I can do about personal preference!

...except scream OH YEAH? WELL, YOUR MOM D:< at the top of my lungs but that isn't terribly helpful now is it :V

So their expectation didn't fit how the story went and got confused? Like they thought Terminator is a complex discussion on man verses machine?

Of course a writer can't control what a person will get out of or take away from a story. Once it's out there, the story is on it's own.
:iconkailan:
Yes, and yeah, that was basically my take on it.

I mean, in the end, it's not like you can tell the reader how to interpret the story, so I'm not that worried about it. I'm really just amused that their interpretation was as out of left field as it was, if you want to know the truth. That, and they were annoyed by the character interaction because they were expecting something completely different from what actually happened.

(Oh, and I got your email but forgot to respond because I suck. :P I'm about halfway through my reading.)

Why can't you just write the stories we expect out of you :P
:iconkailan:
I'll get right on that mind reading. :(
