hahaon the other hand, if anyone's expecting Blackbird's Gale to be "love at first sight" stuff, then they are going to be disappointed because this is not that kind of story. At all. Which is what the aforementioned complaint was about.
Sadly, there's not much I can do about personal preference!

Of course a writer can't control what a person will get out of or take away from a story. Once it's out there, the story is on it's own.
I mean, in the end, it's not like you can tell the reader how to interpret the story, so I'm not that worried about it. I'm really just amused that their interpretation was as out of left field as it was, if you want to know the truth. That, and they were annoyed by the character interaction because they were expecting something completely different from what actually happened.
